Moorea - French Polynesia - 2001

With United Airline's Frequent Flyer program providing transport, we (Mike, Martha, Patrick and Kelly Savage) visited French Polynesia in April 2001. Martha's parents, Anne & Evan Kane, met us there. The weather was tropical (hot, humid, bursts of intense rain), the scenery stunning and the waters of the lagoon warm and beautifully aquamarine. Snorkelling was the chief activity, along with lounging on the beach and watching the sunsets.

Moorea is a small island about 15 miles offshore from Tahiti (the largest island in French Polynesia, and the site of the iternational airport). We spent a week on Moorea, staying in the bungalows shown in some of these photographs.
